Steve Arnold is a highly accomplished executive and education advocate with a current focus on K-12 education. As the co-founder and vice chairman of the board of directors of the George Lucas Educational Foundation, he is committed to improving education models through telling the stories of what works in education. Steve also serves on the boards of a number of other non-profit organizations, including CASEL, The Learning Policy Institute, Healthy Minds Innovations, and the New Mexico School for the Arts. Prior to his work in education, Steve held executive positions in the software and digital media industry. He joined Atari in the ealry 1980s before moving to Lucasfilm Ltd. where he helped build what became LucasArts Entertainment Company. During his time at Lucasfilm Games, the team he managed pioneered several innovations in computer games and interactive entertainment, and he led a group a group called Lucasfilm Learning that developed some early innovative uses of multimedia technology for education. Steve left Lucasfilm in the early 90s to join Continuum Productions and then Microsoft, where he served as the vice president of Broadband Media Applications. Steve left Microsoft in 1995 and co-founded Polaris Partners in 1996, where he is now a Partner Emeritus. With his extensive background in education and technology, Steve Arnold is a powerful advocate for educational innovation and progress.
