John Cooper

John has an extensive background in corporate finance and investment in the technology sector. He is currently Co-Head of Carlsquare North America. Cooper previously served as Managing Director and Co-Head of the TMT practice at Houlihan Lokey, and as a co-founder and Managing Partner of ArchPoint Partners, LLC. His career includes roles such as TMT practice head at Montgomery & Co., Senior Director of Corporate Development at several prominent companies including Microsoft and American Express, and President of ThinkTank. Currently, John is the founder and head of Halestreet Investments, holding positions in over 10 private companies, and serves on several boards. He co-founded the Orlando Opportunity Fund and has been a senior executive in various venture-backed technology firms. Academically, John holds a B.S. in Business and Finance from the University of Minnesota and has undertaken executive leadership studies at MIT. He actively participates in speaking engagements related to venture capital, corporate strategy, and M&A. Beyond his professional endeavors, John is a passionate advocate for mental health, having established the Halestreet Foundation and the Dr. Daniel C. Cooper Endowment Fund at Brown University to support mental health services and research. Cooper is also an advisor to the OneMind Accelerator which backs visionary founders of early-stage startups with the network, education, and capital to rapidly build category-defining companies that improve the lives of people living with mental illness.
