Hayoung Donelly, PhD

Hayoung is a data-informed community psychologist whose work lies at the intersection of suicide, disparities in mental health service utilization, and data science. She earned her B.A. and M.A. in Child Psychology and Education and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University, Korea. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the Department of Counseling Psychology and Applied Human Development at Boston University and an intern at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. She will join the School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania as a postdoctoral fellow for suicide prevention research applying Natural Language Processing and machine learning. She loves cats, painting, dancing K-pop choreography, and napping.
