Welcome to Our Session

Introduce the session and set a calm tone. Explain briefly using simple language, gestures, and visuals that this deck shows the routine.

Our Routine

Show the routine with simple pictures of a puzzle, an AAC device/visual cue card, and a sensory bin. Use arrows to indicate transition from one activity to the next.

Transition Time

Focus on the transition moment. Explain that if the student feels upset about the change, they can use the AAC tool or a visual card to ask for help.

You Are Supported!

Encourage and praise the use of AAC or visual cues during transitions. Remind the student that asking for help is a good way to feel safe and supported.

Session Recap

Conclude with a visual recap of the session routine, reinforcing praise and the use of the AAC/visual cues. End with a calm visual cue like a smiling face.
