Introduce the series by highlighting the importance of understanding and managing emotions. Use the Emotions Visuals Pack to display different emotions and engage students with questions about how certain situations might make them feel.
Session 2: Recognizing Personal Emotions
Facilitate a safe sharing environment. Encourage students to talk about experiences and learn simple ways to recognize their emotional changes. Use interactive questioning throughout.
Session 3: Coping Strategies
Present various coping strategies using the Coping Skills Activity Sheet. Engage the class in role-play exercises to model the techniques and open a discussion on which strategies work best.
Session 4: Applying Strategies in Real Life
Organize small group activities where students apply the coping strategies in scenarios that mimic real-life challenges. Encourage peer discussion and use the Feelings Chart for ongoing self-assessment.
Session 5: Reflection and Reinforcement
Guide a reflective discussion and journaling session. Summarize all the strategies covered and encourage students to talk about their progress. End with a collaborative activity to build a supportive classroom environment.
